Whenever I saw the statue of the woman, holding a hatchet, near Kermanshah’s “Shirin Park”, I used to wonder if I would ever meet this heroine in person and talk to her. people used to say that Farangis lived in a village, located near Gilan-e Gharb and she was reluctant to retell her memories from the past.
I knew that writing her Memoirs would be a difficult task to accomplish, yet I always thought about doing it. The village was at least three and a half hours away from Kermanshah and the commute was difficult for a female writer.
