Human Rights from the Viewpoint of Islam
The issue of human rights is undoubtedly one of the most important and complex issues faced by the international society at the beginning of the twenty-first century. It could in fact be claimed that it is the understanding of human rights that forms the ideology of the contemporary man and determines his identity and position in the modern society.
With this in view, the Center for International Cultural Studies of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization had organized a conference on “Human Rights from the Islamic Viewpoint” with the participation of renowned scholars and researchers, the research papers of which have been compiled into this book which has also been translated into the English language. The aim of this conference was to study the issue of Human Rights from the viewpoint of Iranian Muslim thinkers.
